As Community Affairs Senior Manager for Microsoft, Jane Meseck manages corporate contribution programs both in the U.S. and internationally. This includes contributions of cash, software, technical assistance and employee volunteer hours to community-based nonprofit and non-governmental organizations. Under Microsoft's Unlimited Potential, a program aspiring to bring the benefits of technology and technology skills to a quarter of a billion underserved people by 2010, Jane manages the Telecentre Support Network in partnership with the International Development Research Centre and Microsoft's contribution programs focusing on strengthening nonprofits through technology, including worldwide software donations, PC refurbishing programs and Microsoft's partnership with the NPower Network. Prior to joining Microsoft in 1997, Jane was program manager at the University of Washington's Institute for Public Policy and Management where she conducted and published research on federal and state fiscal policy and its effect on Washington State nonprofits. She also lectured at the UW Daniel J. Evan's School of Public Affairs. Jane previously worked as a management consultant, designing technology solutions for fortune 500 companies. Jane has a masters degree in public administration from University of Washington and bachelor's degrees in both finance and marketing from Texas A&M University. Jane is active in the Seattle community as a board member and volunteer for several nonprofit organizations and also plays women's ultimate frisbee with the Seattle Riot.
