Since joining CBS News in 2011, Anna Werner has traveled across the country, providing original reporting to all CBS News broadcasts and platforms. In 2014, her story, “Shock Treatment,” about the use of electric shock on students at a Massachusetts special needs school, won the New York Newswomen’s Front Page Award for television “Best Feature”. When the Edward R. Murrow award was given in 2014 to CBS Evening News for “Best Newscast,” her exclusive story about the gunned-down Kaufman Co., Texas D.A. was the lead story.
