Dr. Timothy P. Weber joined EFL Associates in 2007 as Senior Consultant, Higher Education Practice, in the Denver office. For thirty years, Dr. Weber served as a teacher, scholar, vice president of academic affairs, and president in four institutions of graduate theological education. He taught general church history and the history of American religion at Denver Seminary and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, where he served as the David T. Porter Professor of Church History. In his two major works, he explored how religious beliefs have shaped American culture and politics: Living in the Shadow of the Second Coming: American Premillennialism, 1875-1982 (1984) and On the Road to Armageddon: How Evangelicals Became Israel’s Best Friend (2004), which was nominated for a Grawemeyer Award in Religion. He has also written dozens of book chapters and articles in journals, magazines, and major reference works. He is frequently called on by the print and electronic media to comment on the intersection of American religion and politics.
