Biography

Stacy Heldman-Holgiun is the Interim Director Residential Programs at UC Berkeley. She completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science at UC Berkeley. She earned a Master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in higher education from CSU, East Bay and she completed all requirements for her Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Leadership at the University of the Pacific (Pacific). Prior to beginning her doctoral work, she completed 21 years in student affairs work here at Berkeley spanning nine different positions covering Greek Life, Orientation, the Women’s Center, Student Group Advising, Campus Events Management, Student Conduct, Alcohol & Problem Prevention, Residential Conduct, Compliance, Safety & Security and Residence Life. In addition to her work at Cal she holds an appointment as an assistant professor at Pacific, teaching student development theory, pluralism in higher education, and educational organizations and constituencies. Her passion is "education at all levels," and in addition to her higher ed work she has consulted for K-12 school districts, run an education foundation and provided pro bono college application coaching
