FORA.tv Speaker - Zach Leverenz
Zach Leverenz serves as the Chief Executive Officer of EveryoneOn, that aims to eliminate the digital divide by providing free and low-cost Internet, computers, and free digital literacy training to all Americans.
Since it's national launch in March 2013, EveryoneOn has rolled out the nation's first media PSA campaign on the importance of connectivity for education, jobs, and health outcomes. Through EveryoneOn's platform of national Internet partners offering discounts on Internet service and devices to eligible Americans, around 125,000 households, or approximately 500,000 low-income Americans, have been "connected" to date. Previously, Zach served as the CEO of Middle East Education through Technology (MEET), a MIT-based technology and entrepreneurship organization. He led the organization through a period of substantial growth, securing new commitments from public and private donors such as HP, Google, and Mercy Corps and USAID. He received a B.A. from Dickinson College and an Ed.M from Harvard University, where he was selected as a Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship by Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership.
