Paul Sturm’s work has been on the cutting edge of nonprofit capacity building and leadership development for the past twenty-five years. He currently coordinates and facilitates the Baltimore Nonprofit Leaders Circles, a peer learning and coaching program for nonprofit executives and board leaders, for the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations. Paul also teaches in the Nonprofit Management Program at Notre Dame of Maryland University and the University of Baltimore’s MPA Program. Paul has served as consultant to numerous nonprofit and capacity building organizations throughout the United States. He also founded and led two nonprofit organizations acclaimed for their innovations and outcomes. Paul co-authored the groundbreaking Nonprofit Organizational Culture Guide: Revealing the Hidden Truths that Impact Performance, published by Jossey-Bass, and wrote The Seven Rules of Successful Collaboration, published in Nonprofit World and used as a resource throughout the United States and abroad. Paul earned an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, MS from the University of Wisconsin and BA from Syracuse University. His volunteer activities include serving as peer reviewer for the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations’ Standards for Excellence Certification Program.
