Susan Macdonald joined the Getty Conservation Institute in 2008 as Head of Field Projects and oversees the Conserving Modern Architecture Initiative. Susan trained as an architect and planner and has a Masters in Conservation Studies (University of York/ICCROM). Susan has worked as a conservation practitioner in the public and private sectors in her native Australia and England. She has as a particular interest in the conservation of 20th century heritage is a member of a number of international committees and has written widely on this subject.
