In 2010, Abramson partnered with Mark Rylant and Skylab Architecture’s Jeffrey Kovel to found a second modular prefab company, HOMB. In early 2013, Abramson and Rylant launched Method Prefab, the commercial construction division for Method Homes that specializes in custom architectural projects.
Some of Method’s recent notable work includes House of the Immediate Future, designed by the Miller Hull Partnership, a Habitat for Humanity project that debuted at Seattle’s Next Fifty (recipient of ENERGY STAR® super effienct homes), Cascade, one of Seattle’s first LEED Platinum accredited homes (Winner of Green Builder Magazine’s modular house of the year 2012), the residential prototype for HOMB (featured in author Sheri Koones upcoming Prefabulous and International book), and Taproot Theatre Annex, a 21 module theatre built to LEED standards.
