Leo Marmol, Managing Principal of Marmol Radziner, established the Los Angeles-based architectural firm with his business partner Ron Radziner in 1989. Marmol Radziner is a unique design-build practice that includes architecture, construction, landscape, interiors, furniture, and jewelry. Since its inception, the firm has developed a reputation for innovative design and exacting construction standards. As Managing Principal, Leo has extensive experience running a variety of residential projects, from modern prefabricated homes to historic restorations, as well as public and community-based urban projects.

In 2005, the firm launched Marmol Radziner Prefab, dedicated to creating sustainable modern homes built in a factory and delivered complete. Projects include private residences in California, Utah, and Nevada, as well as a series of affordable green homes for the Mountain View Mobile Home Park in Santa Monica.

With a passion for mid-century Modern architecture, Leo has worked to restore many historic architectural icons in Southern California. Noteworthy examples include Richard Neutra’s Kaufmann, Lew, Brown, and Sten houses, R.M. Schindler’s Elliot and Kings Road houses, and John Lautner’s Garcia House.

Marmol Radziner’s unique business practice and commitment to design excellence was rewarded with the honor of being named the American Institute of Architects California Council’s 2004 Firm of the Year. In 2007, Leo was elevated to the College of the Fellows of the American Institute of Architects.
