Bonnie Takhar has built a strong and consistent career through top positions in the fashion industry.

In 2007, she was chosen to lead the legendary American brand Halston, and was the mastermind of its relaunch into the luxury brand sector.

Prior to that, Ms. Takhar served as Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer in charge of business development at Jimmy Choo. She went on to become the Chief Commercial Officer in 2006. Ms. Takhar worked closely with the CEO to develop the company’s business strategy, and she was responsible for identifying and developing opportunities within Jimmy Choo’s existing business and in new markets. In this role, she advised the company on matters related to wholesale and retail and built relationships with third parties and partners in those areas.

Previously, Ms. Takhar was President of Earl Jean in the company’s headquarters in New York. She began her career at Earl Jean in 1999 and held the position of London-based Chief Executive Officer of Europe. From the beginning, she adopted a selective strategy that positioned Earl Jean as a designer brand. Over the next five years Ms. Takhar spearheaded the brand’s growth in Europe and its emergence as one of the best-recognized fashion denim brands. In 2002, when the brand was acquired by Nautica Enterprises Inc. Ms. Takhar became its President.

Before joining Earl Jean, she was Sales Director at the Nicole Farhi Group from 1998 to 1999, and Sales Manager at Donna Karan from 1996 to 1998.
