David Scott Carlick is a venture partner at Rho Ventures. He believes that successful investing hinges on market opportunities and entrepreneurial teams. Ultimately, collaborative efforts that are cohesive, clever and adaptive yield success in big, new and emerging markets.
He joined Rho in 2009 and focuses on investments in digital media and marketing. Prior to Rho, he was managing director and venture partner of VantagePoint Venture Partners, where he was involved in numerous investments, including Intermix Media (parent company of MySpace that was sold to NewsCorp in 2005) and ReachLocal. He was also executive vice president at Poppe Tyson, where he co-founded poppe.com, which spun out and merged with Modem Media (NASDAQ: MMPT), and DoubleClick, which went public and was subsequently sold to Google.
