CHEO TYEHIMBA TAYLOR is an award-winning journalist, screenwriter, producer, author, activist, and founder of Forward Ever Media, a multimedia group that helps organizations use storytelling for social change. In 2012, as creator and executive producer of the Game Changers Project (GCP) – a national fellowship program for emerging Black filmmakers – he led the GCP Fellows to produce 30 micro-documentary films for 30 non-profits across the country that advocate for Black men and boys. Cheo was nominated for Ebony Magazine’s MANifest Award for the work, which focused on elevating the conversation about Black Male Achievement.
Since 2006, Forward Ever Media has contributed to the multimedia efforts of the 2025 Network for Black Men and Boys, a ground breaking national network for Black Male Achievement. He’s written or produced digital media for various networks, foundations, blogs, and publications, including MSNBC.com, theGrio.com, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, O-The Oprah Magazine, The Washington Post, Vibe, Essence and others. His writing (both fiction and non-fiction) has been featured in several books and anthologies.
In 2013 and beyond, Cheo’s work will be unified by one central question: How do we use untold stories and unasked questions to connect, inspire, and transform us as a society?
