Allyson Maynard Gibson is attorney general and minister of legal affairs of The Bahamas, and leader of government business in the Bahamian Senate. She is also the vice chairman of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force and the second vice chairman of REMJA (the Attorneys General of Central and Latin America). She has served as the first minister of financial services and investments of The Bahamas and as a member of the Bahamian Parliament, representing the Pinewood Constituency. She is also a well-known advocate for the rights of women and children. Daughter of a former deputy prime minister of The Bahamas, Gibson is former president of the International Women’s Forum (2009-2011).
