As Director of International Public Affairs at The Coca-Cola Company, Marika is responsible for stakeholder engagement, government relations, partnerships and communications on a wide range of public policy issues facing the company.

Marika leads global partnerships and engagement on 5by20, the company's global initiative to empowering 5 million women entrepreneurs across its global business system by 2020. She has pioneered initiatives to empower 90,000 small farmers to produce fruit for Coca-Cola's juices with partners including the Gates Foundation and USAID. She has also led a collaboration with Oxfam on a groundbreaking study of business impacts on communities in the developing world. Marika represents the company on the United Nations Global Compact LEAD Steering Committee.

Marika is a graduate of Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and the College of William & Mary. In 2010, she was named to The Aspen Institute's First Mover Fellowship which recognizes exceptional business leaders integrating corporate profitability and societal value.

Prior to joining Coca-Cola, she worked for Oxfam in the U.S. and abroad on issues such as microcredit, child labor and poverty alleviation. She also served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer with the Congressional Hunger Center at a food bank in rural Michigan. Marika hails from Hawaii and has lived in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Cambodia. Since joining The Coca-Cola Company in 2005 she has worked at the headquarters in Atlanta and in Vietnam for Coca-Cola Indochina.
