Alex Bratty is a partner with Public Opinion Strategies, a national corporate and public affairs survey research firm with clients that include Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, government entities, and non-profit organizations. Since joining the firm in 2003, she has managed hundreds of qualitative and quantitative projects, helping clients understand public opinion and developing a strategy for communicating their positions.

Much of Ms. Bratty’s work has been focused on message and brand development, not simply monitoring public opinion, but creating messages to defend and promote her client’s image and interests on complex policy issues. A trained and certified focus group moderator, Ms. Bratty moderates approximately 50 groups annually and has conducted numerous one-on-one interviews. She also has over a decade of experience in qualitative research, including print and electronic media advertising testing.

Ms. Bratty has extensive experience in polling for the news media. For six years she was part of the team that worked on the NBC News/Wall Street Journal national poll, a flagship survey that is widely regarded as a barometer of American opinion. Prior to joining Public Opinion Strategies, she worked as an audience research and business development manager for MSNBC. Originally from Northern Ireland, Ms. Bratty received her bachelor’s degree in business studies and French from Edinburgh University in Scotland, followed by her MBA from Villanova University.
