Biography

Emma Belcher is a Program Officer in the International Peace and Security program at the MacArthur Foundation. Prior to MacArthur she was a Stanton Nuclear Security Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. Emma has worked as an advisor to the Australian prime minister and cabinet on national security and international affairs, and as a public affairs officer at the Australian embassy in Washington, DC. She has a Ph.D. and MALD from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, and a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Melbourne. While completing her Ph.D. she was a Fellow in the International Security Program and Project on Managing the Atom at Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
