Aroon Hirdaramani represents the young and dynamic second generation of Sri Lanka Apparel's technocrats who are working together to take the industry to the next level. As an industry representative, Mr. Hirdaramani works with the Joint Apparel Association Forum, the industry body comprised of stakeholders including exporters, buyers, fabric suppliers and trim suppliers. Their goal is to guide the apparel sector strategy through its multi-pronged initiatives and drive industry growth from $3.4 billion to $5 billion by 2015.

Mr. Hirdaramani is a Director of the Hirdaramani Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Sri Lanka with interests in apparel manufacturing, the hospitality industry, and alternative energy. He focuses on sales and order execution for U.S.-based apparel companies.Prior to joining the group, Mr. Hirdaramani worked as an analyst in investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization, where he serves as the co-education chair for the Colombo chapter and as membership chair for the Apparel Network Executive Committee. He is also a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Hirdaramani holds a bachelor's degree in business economics from Brown University.
