Elizabeth Scharpf is an entrepreneur, designer and founder of Sustainable Health Enterprises, which has a mission to improve the quality of life for people in developing countries. Scharpf is the 2010 Curry Stone Design Prize winner for her work in Rwanda that involves partnering with networks of women to make and sell sanitary pads made from banana leaves. She has spent time as a strategic management consultant at Cambridge Pharma Consultancy as well as stints at the Clinton Foundation and the World Bank in Asia and East Africa, respectively. Elizabeth has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPA in international development from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
