The Rev. Dr. Katharine Rhodes Henderson is President of Auburn Theological Seminary in the city of New York, an institution that equips bold and resilient leaders who can bridge religious divides, build community, pursue justice, and heal the world.
Author of God's Troublemakers: How Women of Faith are Changing the World (Continuum, 2006), Henderson is an international leader in theological education and has pioneered programs for excellence in religious leadership and progressive moral leadership in the public square.
Previously, in her capacity as Executive Vice President of Auburn, Henderson spearheaded innovative educational programs, ranging from convening CEOs of major American corporations to engage in rigorous review of ethical business practice pre- and post-recession, to gathering young leaders from war-torn countries to practice conflict resolution and multi-faith understanding through Auburn's flagship youth leadership program, Face to Face/Faith to Faith. Dr. Henderson is also a regular contributor to the Newsweek/Washington Post blog, On Faith.
