Depending on how you look at it, robotic development is either much further along than anyone could hope or it’s still all science fiction. In the manufacturing industry, robots are now handling more work and at a much greater and more precise pace than any humans ever could. It’s a similar story in space exploration where, at least for the foreseeable future, unmanned spacecraft will do the work of astronauts. But when it comes to robots that move and reason like humans, we have a long way to go before we approach anything that Issac Asimov envisioned.
