  • About this series

In honor of film lovers everywhere, we present footage from Moguls, Millionaires & Movie Stars: Hollywood Between the Wars, 1920-1940, a conference produced by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in partnership with the Huntington-USC Institute on California and the West. These were the decades of Joseph P. Kennedy, William Randolph Hearst, and Howard Hughes -- as well as Fatty Arbuckle, and they were a time when "hot babes," good weather, and blooming roses were all that was needed to lure talent and money to the fledgling industry. Enjoy the show!
