  • Cori Alonso-Yoder Ana Corina “Cori” Alonso-Yoder is the Supervising Attorney for the Whitman-Walker Health Legal Services Program. She supervises the Program’s staff attorneys across practices areas and represents LGBT and HIV-positive immigrants in immigration legal matters. Alonso-Yoder also dedicates time to mentoring and partnering with volunteer attorneys committed to serving these communities through pro bono representation.
  • Tammy Baldwin Tammy Baldwin was elected to the U.S. Senate on November 6, 2012, winning a hard fought race against former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson. She is Wisconsin’s first woman to serve in the U.S. Senate and is the first openly gay member elected to the Senate.
  • Molly Ball Molly Ball is a staff writer covering U.S. politics at The Atlantic.
  • Layshia Clarendon Layshia Clarendon is a WNBA Player for the Indiana Fever.
  • Steve Clemons Steve Clemons is Washington editor at large for The Atlantic and editor of Atlantic Live. He writes frequently about politics and foreign affairs.

    Clemons is a senior fellow and the founder of the American Strategy Program at the New America Foundation, a centrist think tank in Washington, D.C., where he previously served as executive vice president. He writes and speaks frequently about the D.C. political scene, foreign policy, and national security issues, as well as domestic and global economic-policy challenges.
  • Ruby Corado Ruby was born in San Salvador, El Salvador. She fled a civil war when she was 16 years old. Now 43 years old, she has lived in Washington, D.C. for the past 27 years where She has devoted the last 20 years as an advocate for the inclusion of Transgender, Gender Queer and Gender Non Conforming Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual people in main stream society.
  • Amy Ellis Nutt Amy Ellis Nutt is a journalist and author of Becoming Nicole.
  • Barney Frank Barnett "Barney" Frank is an American politician and a member of the United States House of Representatives. From 2007 to 2011, Frank served as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.
  • Sophie Gilbert Sophie Gilbert is a senior editor at The Atlantic, where she oversees the Culture section.
  • Mary Louise Kelly Mary Louise Kelly is NPR's former Intelligence correspondent, and the author of the forthcoming novel Anonymous Sources.

  • Jarrett Lucas Jarrett Lucas, Executive Director, has served in various capacities at Stonewall since 2010—consultant, Program Manager, Deputy Director. Now, he oversees the management of the entire Foundation, working with the Board of Directors and staff to deliver on Stonewall’s mission of mobilizing resources to benefit New York City’s diverse LGBTQ community.
  • Nicole Maines Nicole Maines, a teenager who made history earlier this year in a landmark transgender rights case, has been named one of Glamour magazine's 50 inspiring women of the year. Nicole, who is 17, was chosen to represent the state of Maine in the series "Hometown Heroes: 50 Phenomenal Women of the Year Who Are Making a Difference."
  • Wayne Maines Wayne Maines is the proud father of identical twins, one a boy and one a girl. He is an Air Force veteran, typically a reserved and conservative man, whose values and beliefs were tested when one of his twin boys said, "Daddy, I am really a girl." His family is featured in a new book Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of An American Family.
  • Dalton Maldonado Kentucky high school basketball player Dalton Maldonado came out at a game after being called a gay slur. When the opposing team chased him in a car, his team rallied to his defense. Now he wants to help other young athletes in Indiana, Kentucky and the world.
  • Bob Mondello Bob Mondello, who jokes that he was a jinx at the beginning of his critical career, "hired to write for every small paper in Washington, D.C., just as it was about to fold," saw that jink broken in 1984, when he came to NPR. For more than three decades, Mondello has reviewed movies and covered the arts for NPR News, seeing at least 250 films and 100 plays annually, then sharing critiques and commentaries about the most intriguing on NPR's award-winning newsmagazine All Things Considered.
  • Aisha Moodie-Mills Aisha C. Moodie-Mills is President and CEO at the Victory Fund and Institute, the nation’s largest resource for openly LGBT public officials. She leads a team dedicated to developing the careers and leadership potential of thousands of Victory program participants and endorsed candidates who go on to add their authentic voices to the fight for LGBT equality and opportunity.
  • Hayden Mora Hayden Mora is Founder and Principal of The Parallax Group.
  • Cynthia Nixon Cynthia Nixon is an actress who has won two Emmy Awards, a Tony Award, and a Grammy Award. Last spring, at a gay-marriage rally in New York, she announced her engagement to Christine Marinoni. Last fall, she spoke at the National Equality March, in Washington, and this year she has devoted much of her time to Fight Back New York, a political-action committee whose sole purpose is to unseat New York State senators who have voted against marriage equality.
  • Theodore B. Olson Theodore B. Olson is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's Washington, D.C. office, a member of the firm's Executive Committee and founder of the Appellate and Constitutional Law and Crisis Management Practice Groups. Mr. Olson was Solicitor General of the United States during the period 2001-2004. From 1981-1984, he was Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Office of Legal Counsel in the U.S. Department of Justice. Except for those two intervals, he has been a lawyer with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. since 1965.
  • Cara Page Cara Page is Executive Director of The Audre Lorde Project.
  • Kris Perry Kris Perry, Executive Director of the First Five Years Fund, understands that America’s future lies in the health and well being of the country’s youngest children. She has dedicated her career to bringing resources and support to parents, caregivers, and early learning workforce professionals to ensure children grow up healthy and ready to succeed in school and in life. Kris is a national thought leader on early childhood education, who has appeared in the New York Times, POLITICO, New Republic, Salon, Congressional Quarterly and many other new outlets across the country.
  • Yoruba Richen Yoruba Richen is a documentary filmmaker who has directed and produced films in the U.S. and abroad, including Africa, South America and Southeast Asia. Her latest film, “The New Black,” premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and went on to win Audience Awards at AFI Docs and Philly Q Fest and Frameline LGBT Film Festival. The film also won best documentary at the Urbanworld film festival and was nominated for an NAACP Image Award and a GLAAD Media Award. “The New Black” aired on PBS’s Emmy-Award winning program, Independent Lens, in the sumer of 2014.
  • Gene Robinson V. Gene Robinson is a Senior Fellow at American Progress. He was elected bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire on June 7, 2003, having served as Canon to the Ordinary (assistant to the bishop) for nearly 18 years. He was consecrated a bishop on All Saints Sunday, November 2, 2003, and was invested as the Ninth Bishop of New Hampshire on March 7, 2004.
  • Nicole Santamaría Nicole is the Secretary of Asociación Colectivo Alejandría, a collective of transgender and intersex people seeking to promote awareness, provide training and education, and advocate for their community. Nicole is also a member of the Salvadoran Network of Defenders of Women’s Human Rights and a facilitator of varying workshops.
  • Brad Sears R. Bradley (Brad) Sears is the founding director and current Executive Director of the Williams Institute, and an Adjunct Professor at UCLA School of Law. At UCLA School of Law, Sears teaches courses on sexual orientation law, disability law, and U.S. legal and judicial systems. He has published a number of research studies and articles, primarily on discrimination against LGBT people in the workplace and HIV discrimination in health care. Sears has given hundreds of academic and community presentations on HIV/AIDS and LGBT legal issues.
  • Anne-Marie Slaughter Anne-Marie Slaughter is currently the President and CEO of New America, a think tank and civic enterprise with offices in Washington and New York. She is also the Bert G. Kerstetter '66 University Professor Emerita of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University. From 2009–2011 she served as Director of Policy Planning for the United States Department of State, the first woman to hold that position. Upon leaving the State Department she received the Secretary’s Distinguished Service Award for her work leading the Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review, as well as meritorious service awards from USAID and the Supreme Allied Commander for Europe.
  • Sandy Stier Sandy Stier was a lead plaintiff in challenge to Prop 8.
  • Andrew Sullivan Andrew Sullivan is a senior editor and blogger at The Atlantic. His blog, The Daily Dish, is found on TheAtlantic.com. Sullivan was formerly the editor of The New Republic and was named Editor of the Year by Adweek. In his latest book, The Conservative Soul: How We Lost It, How to Get It Back (HarperCollins, 2006), Sullivan argues for a conservatism based on practical restraint, individual freedom, constitutional norms, and skepticism. His landmark book, Virtually Normal: An Argument About Homosexuality (Knopf, 1995), was the first to advocate civil-marriage rights for gay couples. Sullivan is a regular panelist on The Chris Matthews Show and Real Time with Bill Maher and appears on many other programs including Charlie Rose and Meet The Press.
  • Matt Thompson Matt Thompson is the deputy editor of TheAtlantic.com.
  • iO Tillett Wright iO is an artist, activist, writer, speaker, actor, and social scientist. Her work primarily deals with identity, be it through her fine art portraiture, or her ongoing activism campaign, Self Evident Truths. She was a featured contributor for T Style Magazine at the NY Times for two years, and her work has been featured in The New York Times Magazine, New York, Brooklyn, Dossier, GQ, Elle, Bomb, HUGE, and The New Order Magazines.
  • Randi Weingarten Randi Weingarten is president of the 1.6 million-member American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, which represents teachers; paraprofessionals and school-related personnel; higher education faculty and staff; nurses and other healthcare professionals; local, state and federal government employees; and early childhood educators. The AFT champions fairness; democracy; economic opportunity; and high-quality public education, healthcare and public services for students, their families and communities.
