About this conference


The belief that the next generation will live better than its parents has always been at the heart of the American Dream, but in recent years this core conviction has begun to erode. Families are faced with rising concerns over healthcare issues and the quality and cost of education, but despite these challenges, policymakers and advocates must come together to increase future opportunities and upward mobility for young Americans. Drawing on key findings from the upcoming Allstate/National Journal Heartland Monitor Poll, this program will take a comprehensive look at the major issues affecting children today, including educational opportunity, well-being, and the dynamics of family life. Through a series of panels and keynote interviews, we will address the key concerns of parents and families and identify a safe and prosperous path forward for the next generation of American youth.
