About this conference
The ABA Section of International Law Spring Meeting will bring the world's leading international practitioners (including both in-house and outside counsel), academics, and government officials from around the world to Washington DC for four days of outstanding programming, networking, and events.
The meeting features over 70 CLE programs, twice daily networking breaks, special events such as the Breakfast at the Bar Series, Section Afternoon on the Hill and International Practice Boot Camp. Exciting receptions at the city’s top venues include the Tuesday evening Opening Reception at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, the Wednesday Reception at the Canadian Embassy, the Thursday Reception at the Diplomatic Reception Rooms at the U.S. Department of Sate, and the Chair’s Closing Reception on Friday Evening at Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture.
Distinguished speakers at our daily luncheons include U.S. Copyright Office General Counsel, David S. Carson, and former Judge of the International Court of Justice, Thomas Buergenthal, and Legal Advisor to the U.S. Department of State, Harold Hongju Koh.
