  • China Gorman China Gorman is Chief Executive Officer of Great Place to Work®. With 30 years’ experience in strategic business leadership roles within HR professional services organizations, China has firmly established herself as a sought-after speaker, writer and thought leader within the human resources domain. Her blog, Data Point Tuesday (www.ChinaGorman.com), has quickly become one of the most-read HR blogs.

    Prior to joining Great Place to Work, China became well-known for her tenure as Chief Operating Officer and interim CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Most recently she served as CEO for CMG Group and has also held the posts of President of DBM North America, and President of Lee Hecht Harrison, the global consulting division of Adecco, which became the performance leader in its industry under her leadership.

    In support of her lifelong commitment to lead and support organizations that make a difference in the world and in the lives of individuals, she has served on the board and is the Past Board Chair for the Chicago-based Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) and on the board and executive committee of Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG). Additionally, she services on the Strategic Advisory Councils of RiseSmart, Pinstripe, and CVCertify.

    China has traveled extensively – throughout North America and globally – speaking to business, professional, corporate and academic groups on topics related to the strategic value of HR, culture and engagement, career management and implementing effective people management strategies.

    A native Midwesterner, China earned a bachelor’s degree from Principia College in Elsah, IL and has completed significant post-graduate work in Organizational Development. When she is not at work, you’ll likely find China spending time with her husband of thirty years, a former NFL Coach.
  • Maria-Lizzy Massa Maria-Lizzy Massa is Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs at Belcorp.

    Belcorp is a Peruvian beauty corporation that operates with a direct selling business model in 15 countries throughout Latin America and USA. We promote beauty and personal fulfillment of more than a million independent consultants, who we look to encourage and empower with a shared value strategy.

    Ms. Massa is responsible for leading Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and Corporate Affairs. Her most important challenge in this year is to develop and promote the corporate brand, through Belcorp’s purpose. She reports to CEO, Eduardo Belmont, and represents the company as spokesperson in face of media, government, ONG’s and other stakeholders.

    Maria-Lizzy has extensive experience in Culture and Corporate Affairs. Prior to joining Belcorp, se worked as a Lawyer in New York and for the Ministry of Finance in Peru. She has worked at Belcorp for 13 years, serving in a variety of positions, including Director of Legal Affairs, Director of Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Intellectual Property, Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs .Is in this last position in which she is responsible for Belcorp’s brand positioning and managing reputation among stakeholders, working closely with the marketing, HR and communications department.
  • Gwen McDonald Gwen McDonald is the Executive Vice President of Human Resources at NetApp, a Fortune 500 company and a leader in delivering storage and data management solutions.

    Ms. McDonald is responsible for leading a global human resources organization that partners with the company’s business leaders to drive initiatives around worldwide workforce planning, talent management, total rewards, and training and organizational development. Gwen also is a key steward of NetApp's unique cultural values and principles, which are competitive business advantages and have enabled the company to consistently rankas a Great Place to Work around the world by the Great Place to Work Institute.

    Gwen has extensive experience in Human Resources. Prior to joining NetApp, she worked at 3Com Corporation for 14 years, serving in a variety of positions, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Services, Vice President of Worldwide Product and Supply Operations, and Director of Human Resources for the Business Connectivity Company. Gwen also was the Human Resources manager for LSI Logic's Santa Clara manufacturing operations and served at Fairchild Semiconductor for 12 years in various Human Resources positions, including as the Senior Human Resources manager for the Linear Products division.

    Gwen is on the board of California Strategic Human Resource Partnership (CSHRP), a partnership between Senior Human Resources Executives of leading California Companies. She is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC). The Executive Leadership Council is the nation’s premier leadership organization comprised of the most senior African American corporate executives in Fortune 500 companies.

    Gwen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources and organizational behavior from the University of San Francisco.
  • Matthew E. Roy Matthew E. Roy was appointed Vice President, Human Resources - Americas for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA, LLC in May 2012, reporting to Peter Zieringer, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. In his current position, Roy is responsible for all Human Resources activities for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC, as well as the other Daimler Financial Services entities within the Americas region, which includes operations in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the United States.

    Prior to his current position, Roy was Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary in charge of all legal activities for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC, as well as the other Daimler Financial Services entities within the Americas region.

    Roy joined the company in November, 1998 as Staff Counsel and was appointed Assistant General Counsel in 2000, where he was responsible for commercial affairs. Before joining the company, Roy worked as a Judicial Clerk to Hon. Nancy C. Dreher and Hon. Walter Shapero of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He began as an associate at Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly law firm and later became a partner in 1998.

    Matt Roy earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in May, 1987 and his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in May, 1990. He is a member of the bars of Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota.
  • Robert W. K. Webb Robert W. K. Webb has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer at Hyatt since August 2007.

    Prior to joining Hyatt, Mr. Webb served as Head of Global Service Delivery for Citi Employee Services at Citigroup Inc., a global financial services company. During his 19-year tenure at Citigroup and two predecessor companies, Mr. Webb served as Chief Administrative Officer for a global business unit and held several senior human resources roles in North America and international operations.

    Mr. Webb serves as a Director of The Chicago Children’s Museum. Additionally, Mr. Webb is a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Hospitality at Boston University and the Hospitality Program at DePaul University, and serves on the Health Care Committee of the Human Resources Policy Association in Washington D.C. Mr. Webb is a member of the Governing Council of the International Tourism Partnership and a board member of BSR, a global leader providing consulting services and conducting research in areas that include human rights, economic development, governance, and environmental sustainability. He also serves as a Director of the Chamber of Commerce for the State of Illinois and the Gale Sayers Foundation.
