Shawn Dove joined the Open Society Institute in May 2008 as manager of the Campaign for Black Male Achievement. He has more than two decades of leadership experience in youth development, education, and community building.
Steve Vassor is a proud Daddy, husband and mentor, who enjoys travel, and as a former DJ loves rap, his musical first love. For 25 years, he has worked with, and on behalf of young people and their families. His calling and passion are improving life chances of young people, especially urban youth and young Black men. Steve founded AMPED Strategies to power and amplify great human services work.
Steve is a skilled and sought after facilitator, trainer, moderator and listener. He enjoys AMPing people, creating coalitions, strengthening organizations and developing strategies that lead to improved conditions for young people.
