Lakecia Gunter, Director of Consumer Desktop Segment Marketing for the Connected Home and Commercial Client, Intel
Rod Adkins is President of 3RAM Group LLC, a privately held company specializing in capital investments, business consulting services and property management. Formerly, Mr. Adkins was Senior Vice President of IBM, having served in that position from 2007 until 2014. He is the company’s first African American Senior Vice President and corporate officer. In his more than 33-year career, Mr. Adkins has held several senior vice president roles, including Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Strategy from 2013 to 2014, where he was responsible for leading continuous transformation across IBM and developing strategies for a new era of computing, new markets and new clients.
Mr. Adkins was previously Senior Vice President of Systems and Technology Group (STG), a $20B business segment. He held this position since 2009 and was responsible for all aspects of IBM’s semiconductor, server, storage, and system software businesses, as well as the company’s Integrated Supply Chain and Global Business Partners organizations. Before heading all of Systems and Technology Group, he was Senior Vice President of STG development and manufacturing, a position he held since 2007. Mr. Adkins has served in a number of operational and management roles throughout his IBM career. This includes the General Manager position for the multibillion-dollar PC Company, UNIX Systems, and Pervasive Computing business units.
Lakecia Gunter is the Director of Consumer Desktop Segment Marketing for the Connected Home and Commercial Client (CHC) group in CCG.
Prior to her current role, she was the Chief of Staff of Intel Labs and Technical Assistant to the CVP and Managing Director of Intel Labs. She served in this role for 2 ½ years. Prior to her time at Intel Labs, Lakecia was a Platform Validation Manager, in the System Validation Engineering, where she was responsible for delivering Intel’s 3rd and 4th Generation Core Processors to the marketplace.
In addition to her management responsibilities, Lakecia is an active member of the Intel Black Leadership Council, Intel’s Network of Intel African Americans, and WIN. She also shares her time and talents with several non-profits including the Urban League of Portland, focused on empowering African Americans and other Oregonians to achieve equality in education, employment, and economic security, and Gateway to College National Network focused on improving educational outcomes for high school dropouts and underprepared college students so that all young people can achieve college credentials.
