The management of any chronic condition during adolescence, a time of rapid growth and psychological changes accompanied by important individuation and socialization process, constitutes a major change for the individual, his/her family and the healthcare team. This session will focus on children with hydrocephalus and how it can potentially affect developmental processes. This session will include discussions of the normal milestones as well as medical treatment options when puberty occurs too early or too late. This session will other issues facing the young adolescent such as driving, social interaction and social media.
