Clemons is a senior fellow and the founder of the American Strategy Program at the New America Foundation, a centrist think tank in Washington, D.C., where he previously served as executive vice president. He writes and speaks frequently about the D.C. political scene, foreign policy, and national security issues, as well as domestic and global economic-policy challenges.

Victor F. Trastek, M.D. is the former Vice President for Mayo Clinic and former CEO for Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He served as a member of Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees from 2002-2011. Dr. Trastek was recently appointed to a position within Mayo Clinic’s Program in Professionalism and Ethics and is involved in the Mayo Clinic Leadership effort. He is also a Professor of Surgery at Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota.
