Andrea Elliott is an investigative reporter for The New York Times. Her 2013 series, “Invisible Child,” followed the life of an 11-year-old homeless girl in Brooklyn, winning the George Polk award, among other honors, and prompting city officials to remove more than 400 children from substandard shelters.
Faith Hester is a teacher at the Susan S. McKinney Secondary School of the Arts.
