Amy Julia Harris, Center for investigative Reporting José Vadi, Youth Speaks
Amy Julia Harris covers housing and development for The Center for Investigative Reporting. Amy is a Stanford graduate and has written for The Seattle Times. She most recently spent a year in West Virginia covering education for The Charleston Gazette.
Carrie Lozano is an award-winning documentary producer and director. She was the executive producer of documentaries for Al Jazeera America. Prior to that she was a senior producer for the network’s Emmy and Peabody-award winning investigative series Fault Lines.
José Vadi is the National Digital Programs Director of Youth Speaks, Inc. He is a writer, performer, and educator living in Oakland, California. A two-time National Poetry Slam champion, Vadi has coached several college and youth slam poetry teams to national competitions, including the 2008 and 2010 Bay Area Youth Speaks teams featured in the HBO documentary series, Brave New Voices.
