Adam Conner is the Washington, DC Associate Manager for Privacy and Global Public Policy at Facebook, where he focuses on government and political outreach and directed the company's 2008 election efforts.
Prior to opening Facebook's Washington DC office, Adam was the Director of Online Communications for Congresswoman Louise Slaughter, Chairwoman of the Rules Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives.
He previously served as the Deputy Director of Online Communications for Forward Together, the presidential exploratory committee for former Virginia Governor Mark Warner. Adam holds a B.A in political communication from George Washington University.
Francesco Fiondella heads IRI’s communications, which includes developing web stories, videos and overseeing IRI’s presence on social media. Through his writing and photography, he shares how some of the world’s most vulnerable people struggle with the realities of droughts, extreme weather, epidemics and other climate-related risks, and what IRI scientists are doing about it.
He is the co-creator of the 2014 Climate Models, a crowdfunded project that turned climate scientists into fashion models as a way to spark public engagement and interest in science. Before joining Columbia, Francesco worked as an information graphics editor and staff writer at The Wall Street Journal.
He holds Masters Degrees from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Brown University, where he studied environmental science.

Frank Sesno is director of the School of Media and Public Affairs (SMPA) at The George Washington University. He is an Emmy-award winning journalist and creator of PlanetForward.org, a user-driven web and television project that highlights innovations in sustainability. He hosts and facilitates the Planet Forward Salon Series focusing on topics such as energy policy, green jobs, and food production. He has moderated events for the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Bayer CropScience, Land O’Lakes Foundation, and National Geographic, among others.
