Shannon Brownlee is a nationally known writer and essayist whose work has appeared in The Atlantic, New York Times Magazine, The New Republic, Slate, Time, Washington Monthly, Washington Post, Times of London, Los Angeles Times, and BMJ among many other publications. She is best known for her groundbreaking work on overtreatment and the implications for health care policy. Her book, Overtreated: Why Too Much Medicine is Making Us Sicker and Poorer, was named the best economics book of 2007 by New York Times economics correspondent David Leonhardt.
Steve Clemons is Washington editor at large for The Atlantic and editor of Atlantic Live. He writes frequently about politics and foreign affairs.
Clemons is a senior fellow and the founder of the American Strategy Program at the New America Foundation, a centrist think tank in Washington, D.C., where he previously served as executive vice president. He writes and speaks frequently about the D.C. political scene, foreign policy, and national security issues, as well as domestic and global economic-policy challenges.

David Yakimischak is Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer of Surescripts, an e-prescribing network. The quality office that Yakimischak leads incorporates technical, clinical and six sigma capabilities into its programs and analyses. From 2006 to 2009, Yakimischak was EVP & Chief Technology Officer for Surescripts, where he was responsible for product development, product management, technical operations, implementation and certification, and customer support.
