Katherine L. Oliver served as Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment in New York City from 2002-2013. During that time, New York’s film and television industry saw its strongest growth in history. Strategic initiatives such as the Made in NY marketing and branding program generated direct spending of $7.1 billion annually, an increase of more than 50%, and saw jobs climb to an all-time high of 130,000.
Jay Roewe is Senior Vice President for West Coast Productions of Home Box Office (HBO). He is responsible for overseeing the physical production of all television series for HBO. He also oversees and manages the worldwide film and television incentives for all productions produced for HBO, both domestically and internationally.
Roewe joined HBO in 1994, originally serving as Vice President of Production for the then titled HBO Pictures. In 2000 he began to oversee miniseries, as well, until 2010 when he was promoted to head of physical production for all television series.
