You are cordially invited to a National Journal event underwritten by United Technologies. This event will feature Charlie Cook, National Journal columnist and editor and publisher of The Cook Political Report. In the final six months before the 2014 midterm elections, is it fair to assume that the current political environment, national economy, and party issue agendas are all unlikely to change? At this point, should we expect an election that will be fought on terrain essentially identical to what we see today? Charlie Cook will take a look at these, and many other questions, surrounding the impending elections.
Charlie Cook is considered one of the nation’s leading authorities on American politics and U.S. elections. He founded The Cook Political Report in 1984 and became a columnist for Roll Call in 1986. In 1998, he moved his column to National Journal. Mr. Cook has served as a political analyst or election night analyst for CBS, CNN and NBC News and has been a frequent political analyst for all three major broadcast news networks and has appeared on Meet the Press and This Week.
