Edge technologies and social innovation to foster a billion entrepreneurs
Danny Alexander, IDEO
In his role as Senior Designer and Project Lead at IDEO.org, Danny leads teams in designing human-centered products and services to improve the lives of people living in poverty. He also guides the strategy for IDEO.org's water and sanitation portfolio and the Innovation Fund, an initiative for exploring edge technologies and their potential applications for the alleviation of poverty. In addition to his role at IDEO.org, he is a partner in Who Gives A Crap, a philanthropic toilet paper company in Australia, and has co-founded two other startups: Liga Masiva, a direct-trade coffee company, and Black and Blue Design, a design consultancy in Argentina. He began his career at Method and Catapult Design, and holds a Bachelors of Industrial Design with honors from Pratt Institute.
