You are cordially invited to a National Journal event underwritten by United Technologies. This event will feature Charlie Cook-National Journal political analyst and editor, and publisher of The Cook Political Report-who will take a look ahead to the 2014 elections, and the potential consequences of its outcome. Do Republicans have a real shot at the Senate in 2014? How could a GOP victory in the upper house affect Democrats in the lead up to, and even beyond, the 2016 election? With the fight for Senate majority continuing to intensify, and each party's chances of victory seemingly within reach, should voters settle in for years of majority seesawing and partisan gridlock? Through an in-depth look at the current political environment and the factors that influence politics today, Charlie will lay out his view of the nation's political present and potential future.
