Tomiko Fraser Hines
Multi-hyphenate Tomiko Fraser Hines is often approached on the street by people who say, “You look familiar.” Having acted as a spokesperson and face of Maybelline New York for 8 years—an unprecedented achievement for any model and a first for an African-American model—Tomiko has been featured on countless billboards, magazine ads & commercials on behalf of the cosmetics brand.
In addition to Maybelline New York, Tomiko has appeared in print and television campaigns for brands, including: Tommy Hilfiger, Alfani, The Gap, Old Navy, Lee Jeans & Target and she has graced the pages of magazines around the world, including: German Vogue, Glamour, British Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Essence, and Elle. She has also appeared in movies and television series, including: her feature film debut opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Monica Potter in Head Over Heels; a part in, Monster-In-Law, starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda; guest starring roles on Soul Food;CSI; The Game; and a role as a judge on the NuvoTV hit, Model Latina Las Vegas. Tomiko will star in the upcoming film I Really Hate My Ex, directed by Troy Beyer Bailey due out in theaters in 2014.
Embracing the power of her role as a model and actor, Tomiko used the platform to passionately champion women’s empowerment throughTomiko Fraser’s Goddess Gathering—a movement aimed at helping women discover, develop & demonstrate their most empowered selves – their inner Goddess. As Tomiko’s focus has shifted to motherhood, The Gathering has since concluded, yet Tomiko offers personal coaching sessions to those interested in personal development. She writes a bi-weekly column entitled “Momma Goddess™” for Mommynoire.com.
When faced with infertility issues, Tomiko chose to share her story openly and honestly with the public. As a result, she receives numerous requests to speak and messages from women with similar stories who are inspired by her courage. Her goal is to continue to bring awareness to infertility.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, she currently resides in Los Angeles—where she plays her most passionate role yet—mother to twins Kaden and Bryce and wife to her husband Chris.
Vicken Sahakian
Dr. Sahakian completed his fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of North Carolina Hospitals at Chapel Hill. During his tenure there, he did extensive research in Endometriosis and was trained in all facets of Advanced Reproductive Techniques including In Vitro Fertilization and Third Party Parenting (Ovum donation & Surrogacy). In 1993, he relocated to Los Angeles, whereupon he joined Pacific Fertility Centers of Southern California (PFC) and in 1998 became the Medical Director and sole owner of Pacific Fertility Center-Los Angeles.
Dr. Sahakian has performed over 6000 IVF procedures and is responsible for the birth of over 3000 babies all over the world. He, along with his colleagues, pioneered the most revolutionary financial program in modern medicine, the IVF Refund Plan. Now for the first time, the doctor was willing to assume risk in treating women with infertility. He was able to achieve this by having consistently higher success rates. This program has forever changed the way we practice medicine in the field of reproductive sciences.
Dr. Sahakian also specializes in treating patients with advanced maternal age including postmenopausal women seeking infertility treatment through egg donation. He is responsible for the oldest woman on record to have given birth at the age of 67.
