LinkedIn's Global Head of Agency Relationships Jon Williams echoed the message of creating valuable, helpful content to engage consumers in their day-to-day lives, noting that people "spend time" on social networks but they "invest time" on professional networks like LinkedIn.

Jon’s team is responsible for global engagement with the world’s largest advertising networks and their corresponding client base, with a focus to optimize awareness on the full potential of LinkedIn and to drive business value through adoption of services.
Jon has over 15 years of international advertising experience. Prior to joining LinkedIn, Jon was the GM of Global Accounts for Microsoft’s Advertising and Online Division. With Account Directors based in the United States, United Kingdom and Hong Kong, Jon’s team was responsible for leading advertising innovation to reach new markets and consumers with global scale, providing strategic direction supporting Microsoft’s overall technology partnership in digital capability, and acting as trusted advisor to the world’s most influential marketing leaders among Global Fortune 1000 companies.
Prior to his global role in the United States, Jon was Microsoft lead for the EMEA Multi National team based in London. This team developed and executed regional and global marketing strategies for clients across the MSN, Windows Live and Xbox Live portfolio. Before joining Microsoft, Jon held principal sales roles at EMAP, a multiplatform media group, as well as FHM, a leading online, print and mobile brand. Throughout the online transformation beginning in the late 1990s, Jon has been a pioneer leading cross media initiatives for agencies and clients alike, as technology and social capabilities have sprung to life.
Jon studied Business and Finance at Buckinghamshire Chiltern University in the United Kingdom. He resides in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Kirsten and is a keen cyclist.
