Janet Seymour, Manager of Colors and Design, The Lincoln Motor Company
Amanda Dameron has been a design and architecture editor since the early aughts, working and writing for such publications as Dwell, Architectural Digest, Urbis, Conde Nast Traveler, Los Angeles Magazine and Elle Decor UK. She is a champion procrastinator and excels at sitting quietly for long periods of time.
Janet Seymour oversees the color and materials design direction and strategy across the Lincoln product portfolio. She leads a team of designers to research and identify visual trends and concepts that are both automotive applicable and embodies the Lincoln design vision. Janet and her design team develop new finishes, colors, textures and materials that enhance and complement the interior and exterior architecture, forms and surfaces, striving to create beautiful, aspirational vehicles.
Born in Seoul, S. Korea, and raised in New York, Janet graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Industrial Design. As the daughter of an architect, she developed an interest in architecture and design in middle school, and attended summer design and architecture programs at Wellesley College and Rhode Island School of Design. Although automotive design was an unintended career, upon completing her college senior degree project sponsored by Ford Motor Co, Janet was recruited by Ford to hire in as a designer in the Advanced Interior Concepts Studio. Janet brings over twenty-two years of experience at Ford designing various vehicle interiors, exteriors and color and materials.
