Coral Davenport is the energy and environment correspondent for National Journal. Prior to joining National Journal in 2010, Ms. Davenport covered energy and environment for Politico, and before that, for Congressional Quarterly. In 2010, she was a fellow with the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting. From 2001 to 2004, Ms. Davenport worked in Athens, Greece, as a correspondent for numerous publications, including the Christian Science Monitor and USA Today, covering politics, economics, international relations and terrorism in southeastern Europe. She also covered the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, and was a contributing writer to the “Fodor’s, Time Out, Eyewitness and Funseekers’” guidebook series. Ms. Davenport started her journalism career at the Daily Hampshire Gazette in Northampton, Massachusetts, after graduating from Smith College with a degree in English literature.
David Hill joined NRG as executive vice president and general counsel in September 2012. Mr. Hill joined NRG from Sidley Austin LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and co-head of the Global Energy Practice. In 2005, he was appointed by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Energy, where he served until 2009. Mr. Hill received a B.S. degree from the University of Missouri and a J.D. degree from the Northwestern University School of Law.
The Honorable John Hoeven
Senator John Hoeven currently serves as North Dakota’s 22nd U.S. Senator following ten years of service as the state’s governor. While governor, Sen. Hoeven worked to build North Dakota’s future by focusing on growth in six fields: education, economic development, agriculture, energy, technology, and quality of life. Now, as senator, he is working to implement the same kinds of policies on the national level. Sen. Hoeven currently serves on the Senate Appropriations, Energy, Agriculture and Indian Affairs Committees.
The Honorable Dave McCurdy
Dave McCurdy joined the American Gas Association (AGA) as president and chief executive officer in February of 2011. He previously served for four years as president and chief executive officer of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. Prior to his work at the Alliance, Rep. McCurdy was the president and chief executive officer of the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA); before his tenure at EIA, he spent 14 years in the House of Representatives as the member from the Fourth Congressional District of Oklahoma.
Richard Murphy is General Manager of Grandview Auto & Tire.
