Brian Buchwald is the co-founder and CEO of Bomoda. Bomoda is a membership-based, digital community that empowers Chinese women to live the global Shishang life. Headquartered in New York, Bomoda publishes directly from the world's leading fashion capitals, curating the latest in aspirational Fashion, Beauty, Jewelry, Travel and Lifestyle.
He is the former Executive Vice President of Local Integrated Media at NBC Universal. There, he built and ran the company's growth efforts in cities across the country, via online, mobile, and digital out of home platforms. Prior to that role, he served as the NBC leader of Hulu until its launch and as a primary architect of the JV that created it. He formerly led business development for the DoubleClick Technology Solutions division and Pointroll.
Brian began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. He has a BA from Dartmouth College. and an M.B.A. from NYU Stern.
Scott is a Clinical Professor of Marketing at the NYU Stern School of Business, where he teaches brand strategy and luxury marketing, and is the founder of L2, a think tank for digital innovation. Scott is also the founder of Firebrand Partners, an operational activist firm that has invested more than $1 billion in U.S. consumer and media companies. In 1997, he founded Red Envelope, an Internet-based branded consumer gift retailer. In 1992, Scott founded Prophet, a brand strategy consultancy that employs more than 120 professionals in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Scott was elected to the World Economic Forum’s “Global Leaders of Tomorrow,” which recognizes 100 individuals under the age of 40 “whose accomplishments have had impact on a global level.”
Scott has served on the boards of directors of Eddie Bauer (Nasdaq: EBHI), The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT), Gateway Computer, eco-America, and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He received a B.A. from UCLA and an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley.
Josh Mohrer is General Manager of Uber NYC.
Maureen leads L2’s research and advisory group and has benchmarked and/or developed digital and social media initiatives for over 300 prestige brands. She began her career at Triage Consulting Group in San Francisco. At Triage, she led several managed care payment review and payment benchmarking projects for hospitals including UCLA Medical Center, UCSF, and HCA. She has gone on to lead research and consulting efforts focused on digital media, private banking, M&A, insurance industry risk management, and renewable energy economics for professional firms and academics. Maureen has a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from NYU Stern.
Chris is the CEO and Co-Founder of Kitchen Surfing—a community of chefs that brings great food into your home kitchen. Chris is also a partner in a number of restaurants in New York, including Rucola and BrisketTown. Prior to getting involved in the food world, Chris was the President of Products and Cofounder of Mobile Commons—which provides mobile fundraising, advocacy, and messaging tools to most major nonprofits, political campaigns, and public health projects. He's done a few fun side projects, like technology for augmented reality cartoons that was licensed by HBO, PBS, and Barnes & Noble. Chris has a BA from St. John's College, Annapolis where he studied a great books program.
Duann Scott is an Industrial Designer, writer and researcher specializing in the democratization of product design through online digital fabrication. He works with Shapeways to help promote the 3D printing community and marketplace.
With experience bringing bespoke products to being through traditional fabrication techniques and cutting edge 3D printing technologies Duann’s practical experience combined with his academic research into the social implications of digital fabrication gives him a broad understanding of the 3D printing ecosystem as it evolves.
Charlie is co-founder of BitInstant LLC and the current CEO. Known on the Bitcoin forums as 'Yankee', he has over 5 years experience working with start-ups and business development in the eCommerce industry. Along with Gareth, he found the need for a more secure, fast and conveninent way of transferring funds between and within exchanges.
Currently residing in New York City he consults with dozens of business's to manage their development and success.
