In the opening keynote at Asia Society's 2013 Diversity Leadership Forum, Chairman and CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Sara Mathew talks candidly to Fortune Deputy Managing Editor Stephanie Mehta about her path to corporate success, emphasizing the importance of taking risks, learning from mistakes, and "dialogue and collaboration."
Sara Mathew is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Dun & Bradstreet. She spent 18 years at P&G before joining D&B as CFO in August 2001. She held a number of senior leadership positions and was promoted to Chairman and CEO in 2010. Presently Sara is leading the transformation of D&B from a data company to a more innovative, digital enterprise, leveraging technological advances to expand its reach in the marketplace. A re-platforming of D&B's core assets is currently underway. Sara also serves on the Board of the Campbell Soup Company as the Audit Committee Chair and is a member of the Zurich International Advisory Council.
Sara holds a bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, and mathematics from the Women's Christian College in Madras, India, and a master's degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Stephanie Mehta is Executive Editor of FORTUNE, overseeing technology, international and Washington coverage for Fortune. She also helps set the overall editorial direction for the magazine.
