Commercial UAVs are coming, but not in the privacy-invading, bad-guy chasing way you think. Instead, the first big market is likely to be agriculture, which offers the biggest economic potential with the lowest regulatory risk. Think of crop drones as the best way to bring Big Data to agriculture, allowing farmers to know more and spray less, increasing productivity and decreasing the chemical load in our food and environment.
