Mike Cannon-Brookers, Co-Founder & CEO of Atlassian, discusses bring the Atlassian Experience from Australia to the World.
Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar formed enterprise software company Atlassian in 2002. With over 25,000 customers around the globe, Atlassian has been named one of the "Fastest Growing Companies" by both Deloitte and BRW Magazine. Mike was awarded the Australian IT Professional in 2004, and in 2006 was the youngest person ever to be awarded the Australian Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young alongside co‐founder and co‐CEO, Scott Farquhar. Mike is an active angel investor and a non-executive director of Tyro, a technology focused Australian bank. Mike was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2009 and is currently a member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders.
Dr. Larry Marshall
Dr Larry Marshall is a Managing Director of Southern Cross Venture Partners, based in the Palo Alto office. Previously he has founded or co-founded 6 successful companies in the laser/optical, semiconductor, and medical sectors, all of which have created exit events for investors, including 2 IPOs. Most recently he was co-Chairman of Arasor, a developer and manufacturer of integrated optical and wireless solutions.
Larry holds 20 patents protecting numerous commercial products. He received a prestigious Federation Fellowship, chaired Advanced Solid State Photonics, and has over 100 publications and presentations including many popular articles on what he calls “Business Engineering”. Larry was born in Sydney Australia, and received his BS Honors from Macquarie University (Sydney), and PhD from the Commonwealth Centre of Excellence.
