Jennifer Siebel Newsom
Jennifer Siebel Newsom is a filmmaker, actress, speaker, and advocate for women, girls, and their families. Newsom is the writer, director, and producer of the 2011 Sundance documentary film Miss Representation, which explores how the mediaʼs misrepresentations of women have led to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence. Coinciding with the distribution of her film, Newsom launched MissRepresentation.org, a call-to-action movement that gives women and girls the tools to realize their full potential. She currently serves as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Jess Weiner
Jess Weiner is an entrepreneur, author and consultant specializing in women, girls and media. She works within media to illuminate more diverse, nuanced stories that reflect the reality of women’s lives. Jess is the best-selling author of A Very Hungry Girl and Life Doesn’t Begin 5 Pounds From Now, works as Dove’s Global Ambassador for Self Esteem, is an adjunct professor at USC in the Annenberg School of Journalism, and has been featured on Oprah, Today Show and CNN.
