Jim co-founded uControl which merged with iControl in 2010. Most recently, he was the Vice President and General Manager of the Service Provider Business Unit of TippingPoint, which was acquired by 3Com in February 2005.
Prior to TippingPoint, Jim was Vice President of Sales at BroadJump, which was acquired by Motive Communications in February 2003. Prior to BroadJump, he served as National Sales Manager for Cisco Systems' ADSL portfolio. Before Cisco's acquisition of NetSpeed, he served as the Director of North American Telco Sales for NetSpeed. Prior to NetSpeed, Jim held both domestic and international assignments with Alcatel Telecom in sales, product planning, product management and research and development.
Jim also serves on the Board of Directors for Boundless Network and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Fady Lamaa brings to mPortal more than 20 years of experience in strategy, product management, product marketing and business development. He has tremendous expertise in the digital video industry and has led the development and launch of numerous market-leading solutions.
As the VP of Products at mPortal, Mr. Lamaa is responsible for defining and executing mPortalâ€™s product strategy across all vertical markets. Prior to joining mPortal, Mr. Lamaa held product management & business development roles at Anystream. He contributed to extensive year-over-year growth, which propelled the company from the startup stage into a market leading position.
Mr. Lamaa also held various product marketing and management positions at Manzanita Systems, Integrated Computing Engines, Avid Technologies and Avid Sports.
Mr. Lamaa received a Bachelor's of Science degree and Masterâ€™s of Science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, and attended Babsonâ€™s Olin Graduate School of Business.

Dr. Ingrid Simunic oversees Residential Phone and Wireless Product Management at Time Warner Cable. Since 2005, sheâ€™s been responsible for managing Digital Home Phone. During that time, Time Warner Cableâ€™s home phone customer base has grown from approximately 500,000 to over 4.3 million with nearly $2 billion in annual revenues and growing.
She spent over 5 years at a VoIP pioneering company VocalTec in the US, where she held a global marketing executive position and over 3 years at T-Mobile (formerly Eurotel) in Slovakia as head of marketing business planning.
Ms. Simunic is a Member of the Board of New York Women in Cable Telecommunications (NYWICT), the non-profit organization that creates bold, self-empowered leaders who transform the industry through advocacy and leadership training. She had also served on the board of Telio Holding ASA in Norway from 2007 to 2010.
Ms. Simunic writes for and has been quoted in many business and trade journals. She is a frequent speaker at the industry events, including the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Voice of Network Convergence (VON) and CableLabs. She is also an advisor to students of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City.
Ms. Simunic is a national and New York member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and has been a judge at the CTAM Annual Mark Awards competition for marketing excellence in the cable and telecom industry.
She received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management from the City University of Seattle, and both an MBA and a Doctorate in Philosophy in Business and Marketing from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Ms. Simunic is an avid sports enthusiast, skier, runner, and a triathlete.
Kent Steffen is the President and General Manager of CSG International’s Content Direct™ solution, a digital content monetization, marketing, and management solution for media, entertainment, and communications providers. Kent is among the world’s foremost experts in digital content delivery and revenue management technologies and an authority on UltraViolet™. Prior to his role with CSG, Kent was the co-founder and CEO of Telution, a software company serving leading communication and cable service providers. CSG acquired Telution in 2006. Kent began his career with Andersen Consulting where he spearheaded enterprise-level programs in the communications, health care, and financial services industries. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois.
