Currently the Chief Digital Officer for Newsweek and The Daily Beast, Daniel Blackman has built a career working at the intersection of content and technology â€“ including media development, content distribution, product development, advertising, and video production. Before Newsweek and The Daily Beast, Daniel was the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Howcast.com. Before Howcast, Daniel worked at Google, Barnes&Noble.com and HarperCollins Publishers. He also produced digital media for Lollapalooza and television spots as a staff producer for the advertising agency J. Walter Thompson.
Executive Editor Jim Cooper started at Adweek magazines as a reporter at Mediaweek in 1998 and rose to executive editor before shifting over to the same role at the new Adweek in October 2010. Before Mediaweek he was the Programming Editor at Cablevision magazine and a staff writer at Broadcasting & Cable. He graduated from Kenyon College and received a Master's degree in journalism from Boston University.
