Shubhankar Ray is world renowned for his work as creative director of Camper, where he has worked on the Walking Society concept and the Visual Language System, including a global ad campaign, magazine, film, web and shop systems. Previously he was the creative director for Caterpillar and worked on the We Shape the Things We Build concept where he also worked on a global ad campaign. Stride also had the pleasure of having Ray on board as creative director â€“ he worked on the Anti-Brand concept and campaign.
In 2007 he became creative director for popular denim brand G-star. He didn't start out in the creative field, though. Ray graduated from Manchester University with a BSc Chemistry degree. From there he went on to become an environmental research scientist, but advertising was in his blood and he started working on various ad campaigns for Levis and later on Travel Fox's Sex and Drugs concept and campaign.
