For that matter, how old is All? It is often said Awareness, Presence, Life, is present eternally‚ but it sometimes is assumed that this means an incredibly long time. Is it too shocking to realize that all of what appears to be experienced‚ and even what is called Awareness Itself‚ never has had any prior history of existing?
Close inquiry shows that what appears as all experience is not separate or‚ out there, but arises in, or as, current thought. The only evidence there ever is for any thing or experience, even the so-called past or history, is current thought. Never is it possible to find evidence of an actual past or history that occurred back there‚ at a prior or past time.
Even to say Awareness, Presence, has been present forever, and was being at some prior time before‚ this, too, would actually be just a thought arising now for‚ the first time ever. Not even Awareness has been before. There simply is no such thing as oldness! This means the edge of time (theme of SAND 11) isn’t some separate phenomenon that a ‘you’ knows about. The edge of time literally is this very aware Presence, here, now as these words are being read! This aware Presence is the only one there is for all existence‚ and It has no history! It literally is the stuff wherein all existing appears to go on‚ and always is brand new!
As all that is, is pristine, never having been before. What would this never-before-ness say, if it could talk?
SAND 2011 is a journey and exploration of
the nature of awareness from the perspective of modern science, ancient traditions, philosophy, phenomenology, psychology and direct experience. Hear presentations of world-renowned quantum physicists, scientists, lecturers and authors like John Hagelin, Stanislav Grof, Lynne McTaggart, Fred Alan Wolf, Menas Kafatos, Gangaji, Rupert Spira, David Peat, Dean Radin, Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, Jeff Foster and many
more, over this four-day conference.
The theme which we will be exploring this year is Time. What is timeand does it really exist? Linear, nonlinear time, eternal now,
infinity… SAND 2011 will be an exploration of the concept and paradox of time from the perspective of modern science, ancient traditions, philosophy, phenomenology, psychology and of course direct experience.
Peter Frances Dziuban
Peter Francis Dziuban (pronounced Juban) is an author and lecturer on spirituality and nonduality, although he prefers not to be placed in any category or tradition. Peter's work speaks from the perspective of nondual Infinity. It places particular emphasis on the fact that all that is, the entirety of existence, actually has had no prior history of being. While it may appear as if there has been a past and a continuity of time, Life actually is brand-new, or history-less, with nothing prior having occurred, not even Life Itself or Awareness have been before. Here, there are no categories; there really has been no prior background of traditions, and no one to label things as such. There is only pristine, pure, never-before-ness.
Peter's book, Consciousness Is All, and other writings are a thorough examination of this subject, with an experiential bias, enabling readers to experience for themselves. He lectures around the country and maintains a website www.ConsciousnessIsAll.com and blog, Reality Check.com. He is currently doing new writing on the never-before-ness of Life.
